Skarsgård was born on 9 August 1990 in Vällingby, Sweden, the son of actor Stellan Skarsgård and doctor My Skarsgård.
He has seven siblings: Alexander, Gustaf, Valter (all actors), as well as Sam, Eija, Ossian and Kolbjörn.
