• She gained notoriety after staging a hoax mass shooting at YouTube headquarters.
• Ryberg called 911 to falsely report an active shooter situation at YouTube’s offices in San Bruno, California. Her call claimed there were multiple shooters and victims.
• The hoax call prompted an extensive law enforcement response and put the San Francisco Bay area on high alert. The YouTube campus went into lockdown during the incident.
• The hoax mass shooting turned out to be a stunt by Ryberg meant to increase her YouTube views and followers. Ryberg had a small YouTube channel at the time.
• Ryberg was charged in federal court with making fake bomb threats and hoax threats. She pled guilty to the charges in 2019.
