NewsOn July 9th, 2023, a teenager named Dahvea Sparrow was fatally shot after a house party in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.
• Police say Sparrow, who was 15 years old, was attending what they believe was a graduation party when the shooting occurred.
• Surveillance video and witness accounts reveal that 17-year-old Lamar Seymour pulled up in a minivan along with two other passengers.
• Seymour then pulled Sparrow out of another vehicle and shots were fired, fatally wounding Sparrow on the sidewalk. Seymour was the only person within 5 feet of Sparrow at the time of the shooting.
• Seymour has been charged with criminal homicide and possession of a firearm in connection with Sparrow’s death. However, police say he has not been taken into custody and they are asking for the public’s help in locating him.
• $10,000 in reward money is being offered for information leading to Seymour’s arrest and conviction.
• Officials say Sparrow’s shooting was one of two shootings over the weekend involving teenage victims in Beaver County. An 18-year-old has been charged in the death of 15-year-old Asaun Moreland in Ambridge.
