hijack episode 6 recap
The sixth episode of the Apple TV+ series “Hijack” has left viewers with many questions and cliffhangers. In the episode, the hijackers demand the release of two criminals, Janssen and Bailey-Brown, from prison, and the UK government agrees to their demands. However, they also order Daniel and his team to follow the criminals and track them via a hacked GPS. Janssen warns that if anyone tries to stop them, innocent passengers on the flight will be killed.
The UK government’s plan is to allow the criminals to have free movement but to comply with their demands only slowly, hoping that the plane lands before the criminals can escape. Janssen stops suddenly on a bridge and confronts Daniel, stating that a passenger must die since they have broken their agreement. Janssen asks for a photograph of the dead passenger as proof.
Meanwhile, a mysterious passenger named Amanda, played by Holly Aird, receives a text message and pulls out a gun, shoots the pilot in the head, and overtakes the cockpit. It remains unclear who Amanda is and what her motives are, but she seems to have taken control of the situation. The finale of the show is expected to reveal Amanda’s true identity and how the situation on the hijacked plane will be resolved.
The episode is full of tension and twists, with fast-paced sequences and the real threat of murder. The passengers finally decide to use their numbers against the hijackers, with Sam attacking Stuart so that he won’t kill another passenger. Terry, one of the hijackers, gets caught. The passengers start to win the battle, and the pilot retakes control of the plane. Sam even negotiates his way back into his ex-wife’s good graces.
