The Revere Beach Sand Sculpting Festival is an annual event that attracts visitors from all over the world. Held at Revere Beach, Massachusetts, this festival is one of the largest sand sculpting festivals in the world. As per the sources, the festival was held in 2023 and brought together over a dozen master sand sculptors from all over the world.
The 2023 festival had the theme of “Celebrating 90 Years of Kong” and featured a centerpiece sand sculpture highlighting an epic King Kong Battle. In addition to the centerpiece, attendees were able to see 15 talented sand sculptors from across the world compete for $28,000 in prize money. The event was held from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday. Admission was free to the multi-day event.
The festival also offered visitors a variety of food, entertainment, and activities. The sources report that a Samuel Adams Beer Garden was open during the festival, along with the Beach Shops Pavilion featuring local and emerging small businesses and nonprofits showcasing their products and services. The sand sculptures could be viewed along the beach walk, and visitors were encouraged to take a walk along Revere Beach Boulevard during the early morning hours to avoid larger crowds.
The Revere Beach Sand Sculpting Festival has been an annual tradition for 19 years and is organized by The Revere Beach Partnership. The festival brings together people of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate the art of sand sculpting and enjoy the beautiful beach and all it has to offer.
