Is Apex Legends pay to win?
Apex Legends Mobile is not pay to win. The game does have in game purchases, through skins, battle passes, and accessories. But no aspect of this leads to the conclusion of being pay to win. For a game to be pay to win, it must provide in game advantages for the purchases. These can be higher stats, faster progression, access to exclusive content that affects gameplay. If paying affects any of these, the game is considered pay to win.
Of course, there are varying degrees of pay to win, with a certain spectrum being acceptable and others not so much. Apex Legends is on the extreme end of the spectrum of not being pay to win. In essence, it’s very much free to play. The skins are purely aesthetic, and none of the game’s competitive in game features are hidden behind a pay wall. Players can choose to purchase some playable legends with real life currency transactions, but honestly all the Legends are quite easily unlockable. There’s little reason to realistically do so when attempting to compete with others.
In Conclusion
For those wondering if Apex Legends Mobile is pay to win or not, worry not. The game is very much free to play, with the payments only realistically aesthetics. That doens’t mean there’s no reason to pay real money in the game, as some of the skins look fantastic. But for those who don’t care about aesthetics, with an eye only really for the competitive ranked play, pay to win is not an issue. Of course, the hacking that’s been rampant in the mobile game is hands down the biggest issue, but more on that in the link provided above.
What are the Best Legends in Apex Legends Season 13?
3. Valkyrie
Despite having her Ultimate nerfed in the patch notes, Valkyrie remains the best Legend for rotation in Apex Legends.
Positioning and having the higher ground is an incredibly important aspect of Apex Legends, and Valkyrie can not only achieve this by herself with ease but can also do this for the whole squad with her Ultimate ability.
2. Gibraltar
Since the game was released, Gibraltar has been a Legend who has remained at the top of every Apex Legends tier list, being the staple of almost every team in the ALGS tournament. Gibraltar is the strongest defensive character in the game, with all of his abilities defensively aiding the team and being used offensively.
His Dome of Protection is probably his most important piece of kit, allowing the team to push up or protect themselves from a push with the protection it provides. Further, what makes it even more helpful is the faster revive Gibraltar can perform to teammates while inside the dome.
1. Wraith
Although Wraith has been in the game since the start and has gone through many changes, her kit remains just as strong as ever. The reason she tops the charts when it comes to the best Legends to use in Season 13 is because players can use her abilities in various situations.
For example, her Ultimate is great offensively, for pushing a team in a tough area, but it is also very powerful defensively for getting out of sticky situations. Learning how to use her portal in all these situations will make you a great Wraith player, as her potential for team-play and solo survivability is limitless.
What is the ping system in Apex Legends?
The best feature in Apex Legends is its extremely robust “ping” system, which lets you press a button to create a marker on your teammates’ screens. The ping system is super smart–aim it at a gun or a helmet and your character will identify that object’s location to everyone else. You can ping in your menu to call for things you need, mark places you want to go, or identify spots other players have passed through. Most importantly, you can use pings to mark enemy locations. The system is so responsive and well-implemented in Apex Legends that it can fully replace talking to your team at all. In fact, the accuracy of a ping on-screen can often be better at helping you quickly convey information than talking.
A revival system also helps you get more engaged with your team. If a teammate falls in battle and is knocked out of the match, you can recover their banner, an item that drops with their loot, and use it to respawn them into the game as if they just started. The system adds some intense, harrowing strategy to Apex that requires you to risk everything to save your squad; you can only call back dead teammates at specific, single-use Respawn Beacons on the map, but you’re completely exposed while doing so. Pull off a clutch play, though, and you can bring your team back from the brink. The system provides a great incentive to stay in matches and keep talking to and aiding your team, instead of just leaving when you die to join another match.
Apex Legends is free-to-play, but it does have microtransactions too. These include loot boxes (known as Apex Packs) and a premium currency called Apex Coins. This makes it possible to purchase cosmetic items in the store – skins, weapon camos and other cosmetic items that make no difference to in gameplay.
Apex Legends Mobile will be available on Android and iOS in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia.
Nearly three years on, Apex hasn’t just cemented its place next to Warzone and Fortnite at the top of the battle royale table. It’s grown into one of the best multiplayer shooters you can play today.
Bloodhound. Bloodhound is, still, the very best Legend in Apex Legends. Although their abilities won’t do any damage, the tracking abilities are unmatched, and if you don’t have a Bloodhound on your squad, you’re at a disadvantage.
