Genshin Impact Battle Pass uses a separate leveling system that requires you to complete simple daily and weekly quests. Each quest will reward a set amount of Battle Pass EXP, and it takes 1,000 BP EXP to go up one level. The quests will require you to do things like fight Stormterror once a week, or log in and do your daily four Commissions. Most active players will level up their Battle Pass just by playing normally, but you can only early 10,000 BP EXP a week. The pass maxes out at 50 levels.
Genshin Impact Battle Pass Overview
Players will be able to unlock Genshin Impact’s battle pass after hitting Adventurer Rank 20. After that, they can start doing various daily, weekly, and event missions to gain Battle Pass EXP. There are two versions of the Battle Pass currently available: Sojourner’s Battle Pass and Gnostic Hymn.
You will earn one Acquaint Fate for every 10 levels cleared in Sojourner’s Battle Pass (the base version of Battle Pass that everyone gets). There are 50 Battle Pass levels total, so that’s five Fates you can get for free.
Genshin Impact gets a massive update every six weeks, and since the Battle Pass lasts for the duration of each update, you have a little over a month to claim your rewards.

Genshin Impact Battle Pass (2.3) Explained & Should You Buy It?
The Battle Pass in Genshin Impact is one of the subscription-like bonuses players can buy with real money. It’s the second most cost-efficient purchase you can make after the Blessing of the Welkin Moon.
The Battle Pass is time-limited and resets with each Genshin Version. Seeing we’re nearing the release of Version 2.4, many players are wondering if they should buy the 2.3 Battle Pass, ending in a few hours.
Genshin Impact Battle Pass explained
By completing Daily, Weekly, and Special missions, players earn Experience. This Experience levels up the Battle Pass and nets you rewards. You can go up to Level 50 in each Version. The base version of the Battle Pass is free.
Gnostic Hymn
The Gnostic Hymn ($10) is the first paid version of the Battle Pass, giving you many additional rewards as you clear the missions. Most notably, once you reach Level 30, you can pick a powerful 4-Star weapon.
Gnostic Chorus
The Gnostic Chorus ($20, $12 if you purchased the Gnostic Hymn first) is the whale version. You get everything in the Gnostic Hymn, plus 5 Fragile Resin, an exclusive Furnishing for Housing, and an exclusive name card. Moreover, your Battle Pass level will automatically increase by 10.
Should you get the the Gnostic Hymn or the Gnostic Chorus?
The Gnostic Chorus’ Furnishing and Namecard are exclusive items. However, they’re cosmetics. Stuff whales will get to brag. Unless you’re really into that and can afford it, the Gnostic Chorus isn’t worth the price at all. And the 5 Fragile Resins aren’t really worth it.
As such, we recommend picking the Gnostic Hymn. Only if you can afford it. At the end of the day, don’t forget Genshin is just a game. And to be honest as someone who’s been playing regularly since launch, while we still regularly buy the Gnostic Hymn, we are considering stopping as it’s not like we need the materials anymore.
How to Complete the Battle Pass in Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact’s battle pass feature called the Sojourner’s Battle Pass can be raised up to 50 levels with rewards for reaching each level. Gnostic Hymn, the Battle Pass’ paid content will unlock additional rewards over the ones you received per Battle Pass Level.
To level up Sojourner’s Battle Pass you need Battle Pass EXP Points (BEP), which you can get by completing missions. There are three types of missions you can do to gain BEP—Daily, Weekly, and BP Period Missions.
Daily Missions, which refreshes at 4 am every day includes logging, doing daily commissions, mining, and utilizing Original Resins.
There are more tasks to complete under the Weekly Missions and since they only reset every week, you can choose which ones you will do for the day. You can even do all of it in one day.
Genshin Impact’s Current Battle Pass Weapons Need A Change
There is one weapon of every weapon type (bow, catalyst, claymore, polearm, and sword), and each is very good, some being one of the best 4-star weapons of their respective type. The weapons are as follows:
- (Bow) The Viridescent Hunt: Normal and aimed shots have a 50% chance to summon a cyclone which will slightly pull enemies and deal damage.
- (Claymore) Serpent Spine: The character equipping this weapon gains a stack that increases damage dealt and damage taken up to a total of 5 stacks and can only be lost by taking damage.
- (Catalyst) Solar Pearl: Normal attacks increase the damage done by the character’s Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst, while likewise, using the character’s Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst increases damage done by normal attacks.
- (Polearm) Deathmatch: If there are 2 or more opponents nearby, attack and defense are increased. Otherwise, just attack is increased by a larger amount.
- (Sword) The Black Sword: Increases damage dealt by normal and charged attacks, and heals the character when scoring a CRIT Hit.
Giving the Battle Pass new weapons would benefit everyone involved. HoYoverse would likely get an increase in Battle Pass Gnostic Hymn sales, and players would receive a new variety of good weapons. Some weapons, like the Viridescent Hunt, don’t see as much use as others simply because the passive ability is not as good as some, like Serpent Spine. New weapons could give some characters like bow users more options. It can be difficult to get weapons that can stand up with the limited 5-star and some 4-star weapons on a lot of Banners, and light spenders could feel better about spending if they are getting even more out of their purchases in Genshin Impact.
Should I buy the Battle Pass or Welkin moon?
If you want to spend money, then the Blessing of the Welkin Moon is a much better bargain, since you can get a total of 2700 Primogems in a span of 30 days, and also 300 Genesis Crystals instantly, which you can use in lots of stuffs.
Is Welkin moon better than Battle Pass? Welkin for summons, BP for resources. Both are worth their money. Moon will definitely give you the most wishes though. welkin is worth it.
How many Primogems is the Battle Pass worth? In Genshin Impact, the BP has 50 levels. Players who completely upgrade the Battle Pass will earn various prizes, including 5 Acquaint Fates worth 800 Primogems.
Is buying Welkin moon worth it? The Welkin Moon Pass is better value for one’s money in Genshin Impact when compared to the Double Crystal Bonus. Genshin Impact has some microtransactions that some players might be interested in. However, not all deals are created equally, especially when it comes to their overall usefulness.
