Genshin Impact 2.7 Yelan Leaks: When is the release date? What are her abilities?

With the upcoming Genshin Impact 2.7 update, many players are keen to know who they could expect to see in the upcoming Character Event Banners. It’s almost certain that the upcoming 5-star Yelan will be getting her banner during 2.7.

The above image was leaked, which depicts the key artwork for Version 2.7; ‘Hidden Dreams in the Depths.’ Alongside the newest characters Yelan and Shinobu, we can also see the 5-star characters Arataki Itto and Xiao. The 4-star character Yanfei is also featured. Usually, characters who appear in key artwork appear not only in that version’s events, but are also featured on the Character Event Banner. Bearing this in mind, there are a couple potential scenarios for the banners: Yelan’s banner runs in one half of 2.7, and the boys both have reruns during the other half. Or one of the boys reruns alongside Yelan during one half, and the other gets a stand-alone banner during the other half. The first situation seems more likely, but neither is confirmed.

As for which banners Shinobu and Yanfei will feature on, that’s also up for speculation. Shinobu is a member of the Arataki Gang, which Arataki Itto leads. So considering their link, if Itto does get a rerun during 2.7, it’s likely Shinobu will feature on it alongside him. As with Yanfei, there’s a chance she’ll feature on either Yelan or Xiao’s banners. This is because they all hail from Liyue, so they share that connection.

CONFIRMED! YELAN AND XIAO Coming In Genshin Impact 2.7!

Reliable sources have started providing important information for those gamers preparing for Genshin Impact 2.7, and the release of Yelan. The five-star Hydro user is expected to be made available in-game during May 2022 and could be featured in the first round of Banner events. None of this has been confirmed officially by Mihoyo, although beta testing of the character is now underway. And that has led to some very exciting new information being shared regarding Yelan’s required Ascension Materials.

According to the UBatcha account on Twitter, fully ascending Yelan will require the usual farming activities. This includes finding a total amount of the following materials: 18 Recruit, 30 Sergeants Insignias, 168 Starconches, 36 Lietenants Insignias, and 46 Runic Fangs. You will also need 420,000 Mora to complete everything, as well as One Varunada Lazurite Sliver, Nine Varunada Lazurite Fragments, Nine Varunada Lazurite Chunks, and Six Varunada Lazurite Gemstones.

Genshin Impact 2.7 Leaks: Yelan Banner 4-Star Characters & Itto Rerun, Weapons Leaked

Firstly, it states that the first half banner will be featuring Yelan as the 5-star character. This is not a surprise considering the fact that it was already confirmed and players were anticipating the character to arrive in the game. Along with that, the leak states that we will be getting Xiao in the banner. When it comes to the 4-star characters, it will be featuring Noelle, Barbara, and Yanfei. It is further reiterated that these are only the leaker’s guesses, so the actual characters might slightly differ. Lastly, when it comes to the weapon, it states that two of the signature weapons will be making their way into the game.

Next up, we have details about the second banner as well. The second banner, which usually launches three weeks after the first one will feature Itto as the 5-star character. As far as the 4-star character is concerned, we will be getting Kuki Shinobu, which is the all-new character making a debut in the game along with two more 4-stars. The leaker has stated that all 4-stars are possible so one of them can’t be pinpointed as such. Lastly, when it comes to the weapon banner, it will feature Signature weapons along with Memory of Dust. This again might disappoint a few fans out there, considering that many have been waiting for quite a number of weapons which miHoYo has been quite reluctant to add.

When is Yelan’s release date in Genshin Impact 2.7?

There is neither a specific date listed in this old leak nor any confirmation of the two characters being on the same banner. It’s also a [Questionable] leak, so it’s not necessarily confirmed to be happening. The leaker has a good track record, and some [Questionable] leaks did end up being authentic.

Assuming this is true, then her two possible release dates are either May 11, 2022, or June 1, 2022. The first date is 42 days after the 2.6 update goes live (every recent version update has lasted for 42 days). The second date is 21 days after May 11, 2022, as most banners tend to last for 21 days.

If Yelan arrives in a version after Genshin Impact 2.7, her release date will inevitably be entirely different from what’s shown here.

GENSHIN IMPACT YELAN ABILITES

Thanks to a series of leaks from a recent 2.7 beta, we now have some additional information on Yelan’s abilities, sourced from Honey Hunter World. Please note that because this information is from a beta build of Genshin Impact, the information is subject to change.

NORMAL ATTACK – STEALTHY BOWSHOT

Normal attack: Perform up to four consecutive shots with a bow
Charged attack: Perform a more precise aimed shot with increased damage. While aiming, water will accumulate around the arrowhead, and a fully charged shot will deal hydro damage. Yelan will enter a ‘Breakthrough’ state after spending five seconds off-field, which will decrease the charge time of the next charged aimed shot by 80%. Once charged while in Breakthrough, Yelan can fire a ‘Breakthrough Barb’ that will deal AoE Hydro damage based on Yelan’s maximum health
Plunging attack: Fires a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE damage on impact

Other Yelan leaks prior to Genshin Impact 2.7

Travelers might be getting more Kuki Shinobu and Yelan crumbs in the 2.6 update. The latter character will apparently have a lot more leaked or revealed in that version update, so Travelers won’t have to wait long to find out more about her. For reference, Version 2.6 should launch on March 30, 2022.

Whether she appears in The Chasm storyline or does something else is unknown at the moment. At the very least, credible leakers state that there will be more information on Genshin Impact 2.7 Yelan soon. For those that don’t know, “crumbs” refers to small bits of information related to leaks or official news.
