Okay, guys, let’s just keep it simple today: Rocket League has a ton of different items. Among them are Rocket Boosts, which you’ll probably see more often during your ranked matches than any other item & paint job. Is it important to know and equip the best Rocket League Rocket Boosts? Absolutely! We mean, it won’t change your rank and your MMR won’t just shoot up through the roof either, but…. still very important
What are Rocket Boosts in Rocket League?
Rocket boosts are a customization option in Rocket League. They shoot out of the back of the vehicle when using boost, and depending on the car equipped, either shoot out in a single or double trail. Rocket boosts record the time of boost used while equipped.
Prior to July 5, 2017, rocket boosts were known as “rocket trails”. They were renamed to avoid confusion with the new supersonic trails.
Rocket boosts listed here are unlocked simply by completing a certain amount of matches. Standard Red, Blue, Pink, Purple and Yellow are already unlocked at the beginning of the game.
On August 3, 2017, Psyonix introduced painted variants of some common boosts, which are classified as import rarity and can be obtained via the trading system.
The Top 5 Best Rocket Boosts In Rocket League!
5. Proton
Let’s start our list off with Proton. As the name suggests, the Rocket Boost is built out of individual cells that simply look like protons. This is awesome already, but it gets even better: If you have the Proton Rocket Boost in your Rocket League garage, you definitely have to listen to its sound!
4. Dark Matter
Dark matter… science is (to my knowledge) pretty sure that it exists, but hasn’t been able to prove it conclusively yet. In Rocket League, however, dark matter definitely exists, namely in the form of this beautiful Rocket Boost!
3. Flamerate
Anyone who has checked out some Rocket League galleries on our website knows that we love anything that revolves around fire… or tomato soup. Never mind. Just take a look at these smooth textures… looks simple, but is hot as hell, though!
2. Sun Ray
Why leave the house, touch some grass and let the sun’s rays burn away your skin cells when you can just get some sun rays in Rocket League? Obviously, another advantage is that you don’t have to put on sunscreen then…
1. Hypernova
If you like flashy looks and want to differ from other players in the Rocket League battle arena, there’s really no way around Hypernova. This rocket boost has such a huge radiant power that you’ll go blind if you look directly into it. Which, to be honest, would be kind of bad because then you won’t be able to play Rocket League anymore…
The top 5 most expensive items in Rocket League
Rocket League has produced hundreds of cosmetics since its release in 2014. Because some of Rocket League’s best-looking cosmetics were discontinued and now only available through trading, they can sell for a ridiculous amount of credits on the market. This list will highlight the top 5 rarest items in Rocket League and why they fetch such a high price. You can use using BakkesMod to preview these items yourself.
Each item listed has a credit value next to it, with 1000 credits being roughly 10 dollars. Note that these are market estimates as of January 2021, and the prices are subject to change.
5. Black Deici ~ 24k
These black wheels pair with any skin you can throw at them. They are sleek and look pitch-black from a distance.
4. Titanium White Apex ~ 70k
These look slightly more bright than the Grey Apex. And because everyone loves the Apex wheels and Titanium White, they fetch a high price.
3. Gold Cap ~ 100k
The Gold Cap is the first Alpha item on this list. This item was only available to players who participated in the Alpha version of the game. This makes these items rarer than beta items. But because most players don’t use Toppers, this alpha item can be picked up at a lower price than the rest.
2. Gold Stone ~ 400k
These golden wheels are an alpha item that everyone wants to get their hands on. The golden design sparkles in the light and looks great with any car design.
1. Gold Rush ~ 900k
Gold Rush is an alpha boost that has a unique look and a unique sound. This boost is used by almost all Rocket League pros, making many esports viewers envious of anyone that owns this incredibly rare item.

The top speed you can get is supersonic (and you actually go a tiny bit faster if you are going supersonic and hold down boost). From bronze to gold, simply boosting everywhere and stealing other people’s boost is a really effective strategy.
Alpha Boost is one of the game’s very first sets of rewards that players could earn for taking part in Rocket League’s alpha phase testing. It’s not the real name for the item, just a term bestowed upon it by the community. Alpha Boost’s real name is “Gold Rush (Boost)..
The Gold Rush (Alpha Boost) is currently worth $5,000 due to its dragon aesthetic and the elite Alpha version tag. The fire boost can be bought for between 700,000 and 800,000 credits, and that will cost you big money.
