D.Va (real name Hana Song) is a Korean esports pro gamer turned mech pilot and defender of Seoul. Her abilities revolve around piloting her mech Meka.

Abilities:

Self Destruct – D.Va’s ultimate. She ejects from her mech and activates a self destruct sequence for her mech that causes massive damage in a wide area after a few seconds.

Fusion Cannons – Primary fire. Her mechs guns that shoots a steady stream of bullets at medium range.

Boosters – Ability. D.Va’s mech activates boosters for a short period of time, allowing her to quickly fly in a direction. This can be used to chase down enemies or escape.

Defense Matrix – Ability. D.Va’s mech projects a barrier in a cone in front of it that destroys incoming projectiles such as shots and abilities for a limited time.

Call Mech – When D.Va’s mech is destroyed she ejects and becomes vulnerable. This ability allows her to call a new mech after a few seconds.

Best counters: Bastion (by focusing her mech), Junkrat (ability to destroy mech quickly with spam), Sombra (can hack D.Va’s mech, disabling abilities), Mei (ice block can withstand mech fusillade and self destruct).

Best synergies: Zarya (can shield D.Va as she boosts in), Mercy (damage boost helps mech do more damage), Reinhardt (shield helps protect D.Va as she closes the distance to enemy).

Playstyle: D.Va plays as a disruptor and “peeler”. She wants to get in the enemy backline to harass vulnerable allies. Her matrix is best used to block crucial abilities that threaten her team. She protects teammates from flankers with her ability to boost to allies and matrix attacks directed at them. Self destruct is used either to clear an area or get nanoboost/damage boost for a huge explosion.
