MultiVersus is a free-to-play platform fighting game developed by Player First Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
The game features characters from various Warner Bros. properties including DC Comics, Hanna-Barbera cartoons, and original characters.
MultiVersus was officially announced on April 19, 2022 with a reveal trailer showing characters like Batman, Shaggy, Bugs Bunny, Arya Stark, and more.
An alpha test of the game started in early May 2022 for a select group of players, and an open beta began on July 26, 2022.
During the beta, new characters like Taz, Steven Universe, Johnny Bravo, and others were added.
The full retail release of MultiVersus has not yet been announced. The current open beta phase is helping the developers test, improve and balance the game before the official launch.
Once the game is officially released, new characters, stages, game modes, features and monetization (battle passes, cosmetic items, etc.) will likely be added on a regular basis to keep the game fresh.
