rocket league knockout controls
Knockout is a special extra mode in Rocket League that features 1v1 matches with unique mechanics:
• The goal is to knock your opponent out of the arena. This is done by hitting them with the ball and launching them out of bounds.
• When a player is knocked out, they respawn after a short timer. The player with the most knockouts at the end of the 2 minute match wins.
• Normal boost pads are replaced with “Gadget Boost” pads that give the player a temporary power-up. These include:
– Punch – Your next hit does extra knockback
– Shield – Makes you immune to knockback on next hit
– Jetpack – Allows you to jump higher
• Players can still score goals in the normal hoops, but knockouts are the main way to win.
• Basic controls are the same as normal Rocket League:
– Use analog stick to drive and flip
– Jump button
– Boost button
– Air roll and powerslide
• There are a few new mechanics specific to Knockout:
– Use Gadget Boost pads for temporary power-ups
– Press jump button again mid-air to execute a slam dunk move that does extra knockback
– Grab the ball with your roof to prevent being knocked out
• Strategy involves managing Gadget Boosts, executing powerful knockouts, avoiding your opponent’s attacks and scoring goals when possible.
• Knockout is a more chaotic and frenetic 1v1 experience compared to standard Rocket League. But the new mechanics like Gadget Boosts and knockouts add a layer of strategy and creativity.
So in summary, Knockout mode features the same basic Rocket League controls but introduces new mechanics like Gadget Boost power-ups, knockouts that launch players out of bounds, and slam dunk moves. The goal shifts from scoring to instead knocking your opponent out of the arena, making for a quicker and more intense 1v1 experience.
