volume or volume destiny 2
What is Volume?
Volume is a new stat introduced in Destiny 2 Beyond Light that affects how easily your character is detected by enemies.
How it Works:
– Higher Volume means enemies can detect you from farther away and more easily.
– Lower Volume means enemies have a harder time detecting you and you need to be closer for them to notice you.
– Volume only affects detection by AI-controlled enemies, not other players.
– Only certain armor pieces and mods affect your Volume.
Volume Affecting Armor:
– Helmets – Have an intrinsic Volume stat that can be low, medium or high.
– Cloaks (Hunters) – Have an intrinsic Volume stat.
– Chest Armor – Can have mods socketed that lower your Volume.
Volume Mods:
– Dexterity Mods – Lower your Volume when that ability is equipped.
– Strength Mods – Lower your Volume when that ability is equipped.
– Special Finisher Mods – Lower Volume after performing a finisher.
– “Invocation” Mods – Lower Volume in various ways.
Tips:
– Pair low Volume armor with Volume lowering mods for maximum stealth potential.
– Consider using Suppressor mods on your weapons to further minimize detection.
– Crouching, walking slowly and not sprinting will further help stay undetected.
– Volume mainly benefits stealth and “hit & run” playstyles.
