Who are the strongest Dota 2 heros? What is the New Hero Tier List

Dota 2 heroes love to shout voice lines for everything from kills to last hits to moving, but there’s a way to make them a little less annoying.

Every Dota 2 player has a certain hero who they just perfectly vibe with, but even the most iconic voice lines can get dull after thousands of hours. Luckily for irate players, there’s a way to tone them down. Here’s everything about Dota 2 heros.

Who are the strongest Dota 2 heroes?

Warlock: Warlock has exceptional teamfight ability, and a formidable Aghanim’s Shard that upgrades his W to apply to all units in a 450 unit radius; it also grants a 10% movement speed bonus to allies, and slows enemies by 10%.

Bounty Hunter: Bounty Hunter, one of the Dota 2 heroes, is the perfect hero for running around and being a nuisance. Like Warlock, Bounty Hunter’s Aghanim’s Shard is what makes him such a great pick in the current patch. It makes Shadow Walk give you 35% damage reduction while you’re invisible, and grants a stun when attacking out of invisibility. This means you can run up hills with no fear, and punish your enemies’ lack of coordination; if they commit to attacking you as soon as they see you, you’ll make them regret it.

Centaur Warrunner: Centaur Warrunner is a big beefy boy who can become nigh unkillable. He wants to play in lane – no jungle for you – and be aggressive, pushing lanes and forcing them to respond to you. You’ll facilitate plays with your ult, encouraging your team to play with you.

Puck: Rune, another Dota 2 heroes, control is very important in the current patch, and Puck excels at it. In lane, get a bottle, and make sure to use your Illusory Orb to secure the ranged creeps. The build for Puck is flexible; ideally you want a point in Phase Shift early, and you’ll max your Illusory Orb then max Waning Rift.

Juggernaut: Juggernaut is a very safe pick; if you’re second phase picking, you can pick him pretty much any game. He’s not going to 1v5 given a perfect game but will do his job, no matter what kind of game you put him in, thanks to his good base attack time ensuring him a good laning stage.

Dota 2 New Heroes Tier List

In this Dota 2 heroes tier list, heroes are roughly arranged in three tiers to signify their importance in the pro scene. About forty heroes are represented, though Dota 2’s balanced nature means that many more heroes are viable.

Tier one
Death Prophet
Templar Assassin
Tiny
Io
Mars
Ember Spirit
Medusa
Pangolier

Tier one Dota 2 heroes appear in almost every draft, whether they’re banned or picked. Their strength can either come from their flexibility, allowing teams to easily slot them into lanes as they see fit, or overpowering might that no other hero can quite reproduce or counter.

Tier two

Sand King
Medusa
Enchantress
Grimstroke
Storm Spirit
Invoker
Kunkka
Monkey King
Shadow Demon
Snapfire
Mirana
Weaver
Bane
Keeper of the Light

Tier two Dota 2 heroes are safe and stable picks that don’t usually warrant instant bans or picks. While not as oppressive as the heroes in tier one, they can equally be strong in a match that favors their skillset.

Tier three

Dragon Knight
Anti-Mage
Hoodwink
Necrophos
Leshrac
Faceless Void
Gyrocopter
Abaddon
Terrorblade
Undying

Dota 2 heroes in tier three appear only occasionally compared to those in tiers one and two, but are popular enough to be recognized as powerful additions to a team’s draft. They can be cheesy last picks that are impossible to deal with, mesh perfectly with a player or team’s play style, or serve as niche counters to some popular heroes.

How many Dota 2 heroes are there?

DOTA 2 currently features 123 heroes, the newest of which being Primal Beast. Most of these heroes are based off of pre-existing heroes from the first Defense of the Ancients. Some heroes such as Monkey King, Pangolier, Dark Willow, Grimstroke and Mars are entirely new heroes not found in the original version of DotA. Heroes are separated into groups according to their alignment, as well as their main attributes, Strength, Agility, and Intelligence.

Who are the least played heroes in Dota 2?

Even though that professional players tend to pick up Dota 2 heroes that suit the Meta they are playing and try to adapt to the play style and the mechanics of the hero that would best make them win games. Taking a recent example of Juggernaut, a hero that had been long lost in the pile of 116 playable heroes in competitive Dota 2 and suddenly came to be the most picked carry in competitive matches.

Reason? Jugger has been really powerful in the Meta even after the recent update. Well, it was powerful back in the old days as well but it was still his fate to be neglected in the past. And then, Juggernaut literally became a game-winning hero.

We have a bit of soft corner for some of the heroes that got completely neglected in the current META. The heroes that were once most picked or banned are now just lost in the storm. Five of these are being shown as follows:

● Arc Warden
Arc Warden is the newest heroof Dota 2 heroes in the game which was just released December of last year. He is a ranged carry hero that is very skilled as a nuker. However, since he is a new hero not everyone is skilled in using him.

● Oracle
With his skills, Oracle can be quite confusing to use especially when you haven’t entirely learned execute his skills correctly.

● Chen
With the power to convert the creatures of the forest to his cause, Chen is very skilled in acting as a ranged support and pusher. Although he may control almost every creeps in the jungler, this skill makes him even harder to manage.

● Visage
Visage is one deadly scout to enter the field, he’s a ranged nuker that can also act as a disabler and can also be durable in the same process.

● Winter Wyvern
Unlike other hero, Wyvern just has her ultimate skill to act as a disabler and perhaps an initiator if executed in the right time.

● Elder Titan
Titan is a durable initiator from Dota 2 heroes and melee nuker that can also act as a disabler. However, he only has a pick rate of 2.64% but might be a little harder to use compare to other durable tank-type hero.

● Io
Io is a versatile support that can easily escape at his enemy’s’ hands. But his skills are quite versatile and needs a lot of practicing to do before one player could get a hang of it especially with his ultimate skill and spirits.

● Earth Spirit
Earth Spirit can keep his enemy in chaos which makes him an effective melee nuker. His skills need to be executed properly and with the right combo or else fail in using him.

How to disable Dota 2 heroes talking, or just quiet them down

To quiet down your hero, open up the settings menu and navigate to the audio tab. On the left side towards the bottom, there’s a slider called “unit speech.” This option will determine how loud a character’s voices lines are compared to everything else in Dota 2. If you’re more bothered by the frequency of lines than the volume, there’s another option to try.

Just below the unit speech slider volume is another option called Unit Speech. Players of Dota 2 heroes can pick between All, Events, and Off. The default option All will trigger voice lines for everything from walking to casting spells to scoring last hits. If you still want some hero personality to shine through, pick the Events option. This setting will still play voice lines for important things like kills, deaths, and picking up the Aegis. If you want to make like Silencer and make every hero from Dota 2 heroes shut up, get rid of them entirely with Off.

There are certain heroes that are particularly strong in the current meta, but it’s not enough just to pick meta heroes; you have to know when and why these heroes are good.
