Teen Patti, also known as Indian Poker, is a fun and exciting 3-card bluffing game where you can win the pot with the best hand. Here’s a quick rundown on how to play:

Players: 3-6 players

Deck: Standard deck of 52 cards (no Jokers)

Objective: Have the highest-ranking hand at the showdown or make your opponents fold.

Getting Started:

  1. Boot Amount: Agree on a minimum bet amount (boot) that everyone contributes to the pot before each hand.
  2. Dealing: The dealer (chosen randomly or takes turns) distributes 3 cards face-down to each player.

Betting:

  • The game starts to the left of the dealer and proceeds clockwise.
  • Players can choose to:
    • Play Blind: Bet without looking at their cards (risky!).
    • Play Seen: Look at their cards before betting (more strategic).
  • Players can:
    • Call: Match the current highest bet.
    • Raise: Increase the current bet.
    • Fold: Discard your hand and forfeit the pot.

Hand Ranking (High to Low):

  1. Trio (Three of a Kind): Three cards of the same rank (e.g., AAA, KKK).
  2. Straight Flush: Three consecutive cards of the same suit (e.g., 10♦J♦Q♦).
  3. Straight: Three consecutive cards of different suits (e.g., 8♣9♥10♠).
  4. Pure Sequence (Trail): Three cards in sequence of the same suit (e.g., 5♠6♠7♠).
  5. Pair: Two cards of the same rank and one unmatched card (e.g., J♣J♦3♥).
  6. High Card: Three unmatched cards. The highest card determines the winner (e.g., A♠K♣7♦).

Showdown:

  • When only two players remain, one can call for a showdown.
  • The player with the highest-ranking hand wins the pot.
  • If two players have the same hand combination, the pot is split.

Tips:

  • Bluffing is a key element! Bet confidently even with a weak hand.
  • Pay attention to your opponents’ bets to gauge their hand strength.
  • Learn the hand rankings to make informed decisions.

Enjoy playing Teen Patti with friends!
