SportsHendrik Johannes Nicasius “Nyck” de Vries, born on February 6, 1995, is a Dutch racing driver. He most recently competed in Formula One for Scuderia AlphaTauri. De Vries has an impressive racing record, having won the 2020-21 Formula E World Championship and the 2019 FIA Formula 2 Championship. He also achieved success in karting, winning the Karting World Championships in 2010 and 2011. De Vries was a part of the McLaren young driver programme from January 2010 until May 2019. He made his Formula One debut in September 2022, substituting for Williams at the Italian Grand Prix. De Vries joined Scuderia AlphaTauri for the 2023 season but was released after the 2023 British Grand Prix.
