VIRLANThe final area in Pikmin 3 is known as The Formidable Oak (哀しき獣の塔?, lit.: “Tower of the Sorrowful Beast”). It is located in a steppe and primarily consists of a large cave system situated within a termite hill. Unlike other areas, there are no fruits to collect here. Instead, The Formidable Oak serves as a challenging trial designed to test the player’s understanding of different types of Pikmin. In order to confront the area’s boss, the Plasm Wraith, players must navigate through a maze of puzzles and enemies while safeguarding the unconscious Captain Olimar from the Mysterious Life-Form.
