Poker Hands
Here is a list of poker hands, from highest to lowest, with images:
- Royal Flush: A royal flush is the highest possible poker hand. It consists of five cards in sequence, all of the same suit, from 10 to ace.
- Straight Flush: A straight flush is five cards in sequence, all of the same suit.
- Four of a Kind: Four of a kind consists of four cards of the same rank, plus a fifth card of any rank.
- Full House: A full house consists of three cards of the same rank and two cards of another rank.
- Flush: A flush consists of five cards of the same suit, but not in sequence.
- Straight: A straight consists of five cards in sequence, but not of the same suit.
- Three of a Kind: Three of a kind consists of three cards of the same rank, plus two other cards of any rank.
- Two Pair: Two pair consists of two pairs of matching cards, plus one other card of any rank.
- One Pair: One pair consists of two cards of the same rank, plus three other cards of any rank.
- High Card: If no player has a pair or higher, the player with the highest card wins.
When two players have the same hand, the player with the higher kicker card wins. The kicker card is the highest card that is not part of the hand. For example, if two players have a pair of aces, the player with the king kicker wins.
