Quicksand Anti-Cheat tactic
Quicksand was an anti-cheat tactic employed by Activision in Call of Duty to slow down or freeze cheaters in place. The tactic was designed to disrupt the gameplay experience for cheaters without completely removing them from the game. However, it was eventually wound down due to concerns that it could also negatively impact the gameplay experience for legitimate players. While Quicksand may not be in use currently, it is an example of the type of anti-cheat measures that game developers may use to combat cheating in their games.
