VIRLANSunglasses Squirtle is the same as Squirtle Squad or The Zenigame Squad, known as the Squirtle Squad in English, is a group of Squirtle who their Trainers abandoned. They are easily recognized by the sunglasses they wear.
In their first appearance in the episode titled “Here Comes the Squirtle Squad,” the mischievous behavior of the Squirtle Squad was highlighted as they caused trouble in a small town located in the Kanto region. Their activities included stealing, writing graffiti, and creating disturbances for travelers. Meowth of Team Rocket deceived them into assisting him, Jessie, and James in their attempt to capture Ash’s Pikachu. During the chase, Pikachu sustained an injury from a Goldeen. To aid Pikachu’s recovery, Ash convinced the Squirtle Squad to let him acquire a Super Potion. However, they imposed a deadline for Ash’s return, threatening harm to Misty (in the English dub, they threatened to dye her hair purple) if he failed to meet it.
On July 9, Pokémon Go will host a Squirtle Community Day Classic event from 2-5 p.m. in your local time zone.
