Where to Find Bouncers in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1

Thanks to Fortnite’s latest update, released yesterday, Epic Games has added and improved a number of features for Amazing Web Week. From March 1 at 9 a.m. ET to March 8, 2022, at 8:59 a.m. ET, players can find more Spider-Man’s Web Shooters as Chest loot on the Island in addition to their usual spots.

But, that’s not all. Making their return this week are Bouncers – a certain type of Trap that was first added back in Season 4 in 2018. These devices can launch players or vehicles into the air, negating fall damage. They can be used infinitely and even placed on the side of structures.

Sounds fun, right? So, just where can you find them in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 1?

Fortunately, Bouncers shouldn’t be too had to come by. They can be found in Supply Drops and as ground loot around the island. Keep exploring, and keep your eyes peeled for any drops coming from the sky.

It’s important to note that Bouncers have only been unvaulted for the duration of Amazing Web Week. After March 8, at 8:59 a.m. ET, it looks like they’ll be put straight back into the vault. Give them a try while you can. There’s no telling when they’ll be back.

How to Use a Bouncer

You can use a Bouncer placed by another player, or you can place one yourself. Bouncers can only be placed if you also have materials in your inventory, as each bouncer needs its own wall, stairs, or a floor built for it to be put down.

To equip the Bouncer, go to Build Mode and select traps, then find the Bouncer and, while it is selected, build the structure you require. The Bouncer will be placed on whatever piece of structure you choose. You can also just place the trap directly onto a piece of structure you have already built, but it must be a full wall, stairs, or floor—no half structures.

If you are standing on the area where you are placing the Bouncer, you will be automatically bounced upwards (or diagonally if you are standing and placing it on stairs). This is useful to remember if you need to quickly launch yourself up or away from an opponent. Bouncers can also be used to launch yourself up the side of a building, or opponents’ structures.

Bouncers provide protection while you launch from them, so you will not take any fall damage while using one. This is particularly useful if you want to use one to launch from a great height.

You can use your weapon to attack your opponent while launching from a Bouncer, or use them to perform tricks in a Quadcrasher (just remember to land safely so the trick counts successfully).
