Destiny 2: The Witch Queen brings plenty of new features to help enhance your experience, and just one of those is the new weapon crafting system! Through the new Enclave area, you can curate a weapon of your choice to have specific perk rolls and work exactly how you’d like it. One of the more rare materials you can get, and one that’s incredibly useful for the crafting of certain exotic weapons is the new Ascendant Alloy material. If you’re confused on how to get this material, we have you covered. In this guide, we’ll explain how to get Ascendant Alloy in Destiny 2!
How to Get Ascendant Alloy in Destiny 2
There are actually a few ways you can secure yourself more Ascendant Alloy. The first and arguably easiest way to get it is to purchase it from Master Rahool in the Tower. Keep in mind though that if you choose to go this route, you’re looking at 400 legendary shards to score just one Alloy. That’s a pretty penny, unless you’re like me and somehow have around 2000 saved up for one reason or another.
Another way you can score some Ascendant Alloy is by reaching Rank 16 with Banshee-44 in the Tower. You can score more reputation with him by completing Gunsmith bounties and dismantling weapons/armor, though it’ll be an uphill battle. Still, a free Ascendant Alloy is a free one at the end of the day.
The final way is through various events on Savathun’s Throne World. These can be found rarely through either repeatable Witch Queen campaign missions, or more enjoyable through the Wellspring offensive missions as another rare drop. These will require some grinding, but then again, so will the other options on this list.
Destiny 2: How to Get More Adroit Element
Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is now available, and with it comes the brand new weapon crafting system! This new system not only brings the new craftable Glaive weapon type, but allows you to create other weapons as well with specific perks to tailor to what you want out of a weapon. As you might expect, this will require various elements including the Adroit Element, which can be a difficult resource to locate if you don’t know where to look. If this is you, then there’s no need to worry. In this guide, we’ll explain exactly how you can get more Adroit Element in Destiny 2!
Similar to how you get Neutral Element, getting yourself Adroit Element is going to be a long and grueling process. That’s because getting this resource can only be done through extracting DSR weapons, and it gives you a small amount. For the unaware, Deepsight Resonance weapons are the ones with a red border around them and require you to complete the Attunement Progress bar before you can extract their pattern. Attuning these weapons are quite easy, as it’s as simple as using the weapon until the bar completes.
Extracting its pattern, meanwhile, can be done through the Enclave once that process is complete. Doing so will give you not just the pattern, but a range of materials as well including Adroit Element. The issue is that with each extraction you do, you’ll only be getting 12 Adroit Element. As such, getting what you need may take a while. On the bright side, you can do all this while playing the game as normal. Things could definitely be much worse.
Destiny 2: How to Get the Dead Messenger Grenade Launcher
Destiny 2: The Witch Queen features plenty of new weapons for you to get, ranging from your standard Legendary fare with plenty of perks to curate, all the way to powerful Exotics similar to previous ones added in other seasons. That’s not even including the full range of Exotic catalysts that were previously unavailable now returning with The Witch Queen, so exotics are aplenty when it comes to the new expansion. One weapon that you can get if you own the Season of the Risen pass is the Dead Messenger grenade launcher. But how do you get this weapon you may ask? In this guide, we’ll explain exactly how to get the Dead Messenger grenade launcher in Destiny 2!
For the first part of this step (unlocking the exotic quest that is), you’ll want to complete the Rising Tensions quest. This can be completed partially during the main story quest of The Witch Queen, but can also be focused if you just want the exotic. This includes handling everything with Caiatl and Lord Saladin, alongside completing the Psychogenic Decoder weekly seasonal quest. This will give an Insight, which can be spent at the War Table in the helm to secure yourself some upgrades to Psychogenic Intel gathering.
While at the time of posting it’s unclear if your choice matters, we suggest going with the Throne World Surveillance upgrade just to be safe. Once that upgrade is done, Caiatl will offer you the Kill the Messenger exotic quest. Completing this quest and all its battles (which we suggest doing with two friends if you can) will award you with the Dead Messenger exotic grenade launcher.
We won’t prattle on about the details, but the general gist is that this grenade launcher has two main perks to it. Its main perk, Trinary Vision, makes the grenades release three different blasts on contact with the ground. Its other perk will make it so holding down a specific button depending on the platform will change its damage type between Arc, Solar, and Void. A neat little homage to the Hard Light exotic assault rifle by Bungie, if you ask us.
Adroit Elements – Weapon performance related, specific Enhanced Traits, and Exotic Weapon Crafting. Mutable Elements – Ability boosting related, Enhanced Traits, and Exotic Weapon Crafting. Energetic Elements – Ammo or Reload related, Enhanced Traits, and Exotic Weapon Crafting.
If you want to check out this information in-game, then you can do. Check out the EAZ activity node in the Tower, select it, and then check the element node on the left-hand side and it’ll tell you the daily featured element.
Arcstrider (Hunter, Arc) Arcstriders are the stylish melee subclass for the Hunters, sporting Arc-based abilities. This new class bears strong similarities to the Bladedancer class, although swaps out its blades of a stylish staff.
Stasis is the powerful new subclass available in Destiny 2: Beyond Light that lets you freeze enemies in place and smash them to pieces by various means. To unlock this new ability, you’ll need to complete the Beyond Light main campaign, which will take a few hours.
