Dying Light 2 Inhibitors are the most important collectable in the game, as you need them to upgrade your health and stamina levels. Higher health and stamina levels, in turn, are needed to unlock certain combat and parkour skills. So if you want to become the fastest and strongest Pilgrim the post-apocalyptic world has ever seen, you need to start looking for as many Dying Light 2 Inhibitor locations as possible.
The thing is, there are 126 inhibitors in Dying Light 2. To see how many of these legendary consumables you’ve already got, check the ‘skills’ tab in your menu. Here’s how to find the rest!
How to find Inhibitors in Dying Light 2
Inhibitors are usually hidden in GRE containers. If you’re near one such container, your GRE Access Key will help you find it (lower left corner of the screen). You will also hear a voice that says: “inhibitor container detected” or “inhibitor container nearby.” If you’re less than 10 meters away, you’ll see the container’s location marker pop up on the screen.
Inhibitor containers are found in the following locations:
GRE Quarantines: The inhibitor crates are hidden inside a building full of Infected.
GRE Anomalies: The inhibitor is next to a Special Infected. You have to take down the monster first.
Military Airdrops: Usually (and inconveniently) on top of very high buildings.
Metro Stations: They tend to appear in stations after powering them.
Random locations: Some of them are just sitting inside a pretty ordinary building, waiting to be discovered. These crates are the hardest to find.

How to get your first Dying Light 2 Inhibitors
To get the first six Inhibitors and unlock the feature, simply play through the main questline. You will get the first three from Hakon right after an incident at the Bazaar, and the second during the Markers of Plague quest. From that moment onwards, you’re free to look for them yourself.
The GRE Detector tool
Like all Nightrunner tools, you unlock the GRE Detector at a certain point in the main story. In this case, you unlock the GRE Detector as part of the main story quest “Broadcast” (which incidentally is also where you unlock the Grappling Hook, and where you can find a fantastic spot for farming Infected Trophies). After you meet back up with Lieutenant Rowe on the 8th floor of the VNC Tower, he’ll give you the GRE Detector in preparation for scaling the tower.
Once you unlock the GRE Detector Nightrunner tool, you’ll be able to view on the map all Inhibitor locations within the ranges of active Radio Towers. All you have to do is activate the few radio towers scattered about Villedor, and you’ll be able to see where every single Inhibitor in the game resides. One of these radio towers is unlocked as part of that same main story quest “Broadcast”, so after that point you’ll be able to see every Inhibitor within a significant portion of the Central Loop around that tower. The other radio towers will work in much the same way, allowing you to pinpoint individual Inhibitor locations on the in-game map.
INHIBITOR ACTIVITIES
Some Inhibitors can be found scattered around the city, but most of them will be tied to specific Activities. Keep an eye out for Activities like:
Airdrop. The airdropped supplies are usually at the top of a building, so they can be hard to reach until later in the game. Every one has the chance to reward you with an Inhibitor, but not every one will have one inside.
GRE Anomaly. These Nighttime Activities require you to kill a Revenant (an extra fast Infected). Every Anomaly gets you 2 Inhibitors as a reward for killing the monster.
GRE Quarantine. Another Nighttime Activity, GRE Quarantines are research buildings full of zombies you’ll have to explore. Each building has 4 Inhibitors inside.
Metro Stations. There aren’t any Inhibitors inside Metro Stations while you’re getting them back online, but there will be 1 Inhibitor in the Safe Room you unlock when you complete the Activity.
Unfortunately, the answer is that there are no guns really in Dying Light 2. You get a craftable scrap shotgun for the late game. However, it isn’t actually a weapon. It takes up an equipment slot.
How many endings does Dying Light 2 have? There are at least five endings in Dying Light 2, with a few permutations and a not-so-great secret ending.
NG+ is an option we’re seriously thinking about, but it’s too early to promise anything yet. A potential new game plus wouldn’t be the only new content to come to Dying Light 2, as Techland says it has five years of additional content planned for the game.
When focusing on the main objectives, Dying Light is about 17 Hours in length. If you’re a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 55 Hours to obtain 100% completion.
