Is VI playable in League of Legends? Jinx And Vi’s Arcane Relationship Explained

Vi was released as a playable champion in League of Legends all the way back in 2012.

Her basic abilities have also stayed mostly the same since that time. She plays as a jungler, and has a lot of gap-closing tools and dashes to help make plays across the map.

How to get Vi in Fortnite

The good news is that Vi is already available in Fortnite‘s item shop, and you don’t have to wait.

You can purchase Vi as a standalone skin or as a bundle with her cosmetics. Let’s take a look at those. Vi’s skin is based on her adult version, after the poor girl has spent some time in prison following the events of the first couple episodes of Arcane.

She’s a lot more world-weary, but she’s been spending her time punching up on…well, punching.
We’ve also got a pickaxe based on the warden of Piltover, a back bling based on the rabbit toy Vi gave Jinx (and which Jinx subsequently hangs over her work desk), and a new emote that shows off Vi’s boxing chops.

The bundle also comes with a colorful loading screen showing off Vi leading a charge of Fortnite characters, plus Jinx in the background gliding in on something she’ll inevitably blow up.

You can also pick up Hawkeye and Kate Bishop in the item shop for a limited time.

League of Legends’ Vi comes to Fortnite

The Arcane protagonist packs a punch.

you instantly fell in love with Netflix’s Arcane series, based on Riot Games’ League of Legends universe.

Watching Jinx and Vi, two sisters torn apart by simple misunderstanding and intergenerational warfare, became a highlight of late 2021. Our former editor Steven Messner called it simply “amazing” in his review.

Which is why it’s a blast to see Vi land in Fortnite as a playable skin, following last year’s arrival of Jinx.

The pink-haired brawler not only comes with her own outfit, but extra cosmetic items that fans of Arcane will inevitably recognize.

League of Legends Arcane Character Vi set to make a Fortnite Debut

Jinx caused chaos when she joined Fortnite back in November 2021.

Now, her sister, Vi, is going to be added to the roster. Just like the previous collaboration between Riot Games and Epic Games, Vi will be showing off her young look featured in the show. She’ll be bundled with the Memories of Zaun Back Bling, a stuffed bunny that she had lost when she was a kid.

That’s not all that the bundle comes with. The Arcane Vi bundle also features the Piltover Warhammer as Vi’s pickaxe and a unique Punching Practice emote. Lastly, if a player purchases this bundle, they’ll receive the Piltover’s Finest Loading Screen, an explosive piece of art featuring both Vi and Jinx.

If you didn’t manage to get the Jinx collection when it was around the first time, it’ll be making its return alongside the Arcane Vi bundle. All her items: Dream Monkey Back Bling, Pow Pow Crusher pickaxe, the Jinxed spray, the Wreaking Havoc and Katchoo! loading screens as well as the instrumental track of Playground that you can play in the lobby will all be coming back. Players looking forward to dominating the battle royale as Vi can purchase her bundle on January 22, 2021 at 4 PM PST / 7 PM EST.

Who is Vi in Arcane?

The League of Legends animated show Arcane has launched to widespread community acclaim. Critical to the show are its two main characters, sisters Violet and Powder. The ending of the show’s first act leaves their future very up in the air. While we’ve done a rundown on Powder, who is the older sister, and what might we see Vi become?

In what we’ve seen of Arcane so far, Vi is a confident, brash teenager, and leader of a group of young Zaunite criminals. She, along with her sister Powder, Milo, and Claggor, were taken in by Vander, and grew up with him as a father figure.

In the show’s first episode, the group breaks into Jayce’s lab and steals the hextech he’s been experimenting with. This turns explosive, triggering a city-wide manhunt for the group. Meanwhile, Silco is conspiring to help the underworld rise up against the topsiders. He kidnaps Vander, causing Vi and the group to go after him. However, Vi leaves a distraught Powder behind, telling her that she isn’t ready.

After a long, tough fight, they’ve nearly broken Vander out when Powder, who had secretly followed them, triggers the hextech stolen from Jayce, killing Milo, Claggor, and seemingly Vander. Vi finds her sister, and heads around the corner to try to calm her anger.

She never gets the chance to go back, though, as she’s kidnapped by an enforcer – a police officer from Piltover. Powder, thinking Vi abandoned her, falls into Silco’s arms.

Jinx And Vi’s Arcane Relationship Explained

There are over 150 playable champions in the multiplayer online battle arena game “League of Legends,” and the creators of “Arcane” (the hit Netflix show set in the “League of Legends” universe) had access to all of them. “Arcane” was made in-house, with longtime Riot Games staffers Christian Linke and Alex Yee acting as showrunners. Speaking to SyFy shortly after the show premiered in November 2021, Yee said that they decided to focus on just a few of the game’s champions early on in the process. “From the beginning, we knew we wanted to fill it out and give it a sense of the champions you know and then the entire world in between them,” he said. In the end, eight playable champions featured prominently in “Arcane” Season 1, but at heart, it’s a tale of two siblings: Vi and Jinx.

As fans of “League of Legends” know, there was no sister in Vi’s backstory when she got introduced to the game in 2012. Jinx was added to the champions roster in 2013, complete with a line of dialogue that had players speculating for years: “You think I’m crazy? You should see my sister!” Many players pointed out how much Jinx had in common with Vi, and in 2017, Greg Street (design director at Riot Games) confirmed that they are indeed sisters. The dynamic between Vi and Jinx became the backbone of “Arcane,” which expanded on their story significantly. Here’s everything you need to know about their tragic relationship.

League of Legends

League of Legends (LoL), commonly referred to as League, is a 2009 multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games.

Inspired by Defense of the Ancients, a custom map for Warcraft III, Riot’s founders sought to develop a stand-alone game in the same genre. Since its release in October 2009, the game has been free-to-play and is monetized through purchasable character customization. The game is available for Microsoft Windows and macOS.

Is the League of Legends FREE?

League of Legends, the wildly popular multiplayer online battle arena PC game is “free-to-play” as well.

Why is League of Legends so popular?

It’s free to play, and there are no Riot endorsed mechanisms to “pay to win.” It’s arguably the most easily approachable modern MOBA in terms of how the champions and items work, and how the map and objectives are clearly defined.

Is LoL difficult?

League of Legends is a hard game. MOBA veterans and people who read and study guides don’t find it that difficult, but if you’re coming to LoL and don’t read guides on how to play, it will be hard for you too. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad game; both awful players and experts can enjoy the game equally.
