Post Malone and The Weeknd have shared a collaborative new track, ‘One Right Now’ – listen below.

Teased earlier this week, the synthy team-up begins with Abel Tesfaye addressing a lover who’s been “fuckin’ with my feelings“. Later, Post sings: “Don’t call me ‘baby’ when you did me so wrong.”

The Weeknd adds in his second verse: “You’re a stain on my legacy/ We can’t be friends, can’t be family (Oh)/ You probably fuck all my enemies (Oh)/ I can’t let you be next to me/ Oh, you belong to the world now/ So just me leave me alone now/ We’re not in touch no more.”

‘One Right Now’ serves as the first single from Post Malone’s fourth studio album, the follow-up to 2019’s ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’. He released the song ‘Motley Crew’ over the summer.

Since his last record, Post has featured on numerous other artists’ tracks, including Ozzy Osbourne cut ‘It’s A Raid’, a remix of Saweetie’s ‘Tap In’, Big Sean collaboration ‘Wolves’ and Ty Dolla $ign‘s ‘Spicy’.

The Weeknd, meanwhile, returned in August with ‘Take My Breath’. It marked the first taste of his upcoming fifth album, which will follow last year’s ‘After Hours’. Details of the project are yet to be revealed.

Austin Richard Post , known professionally as Post Malone, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor.

(born July 4, 1995)

Malone has gained acclaim for blending a range of genres including hip hop, R&B, pop, trap, rap rock, and cloud rap. Malone is known for his introspective songwriting and variegated vocal styles on his music.

He first attained recognition in 2015 following the release of his debut single “White Iverson”. He subsequently signed a recording contract with Republic Records.

His stage name is derived from his last name and from a rap name generator.

Abel Makkonen Tesfaye , known professionally as the Weeknd, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer.

Noted for his distinctive singing voice with a soaring falsetto and its singular tremolo, Tesfaye is considered an influential figure in contemporary popular music.

The Weeknd has been gearing up for the “dawn” of his new era, but is the music world ready for the next phase of Post Malone? Post, 26, seemingly unleashed the next single from his highly-anticipated follow-up to Hollywood’s Bleeding on Friday (Nov. 5), an epic collab with The Weeknd, 31, called “One Right Now.” In the ’80s synth inspired tune, the two croon about about an ex who wants to get back together — despite the guys having moved on (with another girl — i.e. “one” — on the way over “right now”).

“You said you loved me but I don’t care…You think it’s so easy f—— with my feelings,” The Weekend, née Abel Tesfaye, sings in the opening verse, going on to inform his ex of his current plans with some support from Post. “I got one comin’ over and one right now (Oh), one right now/(One right now, one right now, oh-oh-oh)/I got one comin’ over and one right now.”

Post Malone, née Austin Richard Post, had some similar cold feelings about his past girl. “You said you want to have my babies…Don’t call me baby when you did me so wrong…But I got over what you did already,” he added in the second verse. It’s unclear if the song is inspired by any of their actual past relationships.

Post Malone Drops First Single From New Album “One Right Now” Featuring The Weeknd

While not a lot of info is known about Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding followup, The Weeknd confirmed in an episode of Memento Mori that his After Hours successor is complete. Affectionately calling the record “the Dawn,” Abel shared, “I hope y’all had a great summer. Some exciting features coming out in the fall before the album drops. We’ll slowly be unraveling that info in the next couple months.” He continued, “Some Dawn updates, album is complete, only thing missing is a couple characters that are key to the narrative.

Some people that are near and dear to me, some people that inspired my life as a child, and some that inspire me now. More to come in the following months. But the only thing that matters is this very moment.”

The Weeknd Says His Next Album Is ‘Complete’

The dawn is coming very soon, according to The Weeknd, who declared that his upcoming fifth studio album “is complete.”

On Monday’s episode of his Apple Music 1 radio show Memento Mori, The Weeknd shared some major life updates during his apology for temporarily pausing his weekly show.

“A lot has been going down, a lot of moving pieces. Been settling in a new home. Been shooting videos. Been working on pre-productions for another world. Working on music for the pre-productions for the other world. Taking time to myself so I don’t completely lose my mind. But now we’re back.” he said, before explaining how he comes alive in the fall time, as the lyrics from his Billboard Hot 100-topping 2016 hit “Starboy” goes. “I hope you had a great summer.
