And in a video released this week, the wildly popular YouTuber detailed her reasons for selling, which had less to do with the house itself than its surroundings. While the ultra-contemporary structure was stylish and fun, Chamberlain noted, it was also located in prime West Hollywood — one of L.A.’s most heavily trafficked, noisy, crowded, and occasionally crime-infested areas.
While some readers may not know her and she’s not old enough to legally drink alcohol or gamble, Emma Chamberlain has amassed 10.4 million subscribers on YouTube, 10.3 million followers on TikTok and 13.3 million followers on Instagram.

At least, that’s how she puts it in her latest video, titled ‘I moved…’, detailing her reasons for selling her first Los Angeles home, after just one year of ownership. Though she had self-professedly adored the property—a sleek, contemporary and colourful architectural wonder of a thing—the internet star wanted some zen, something she wasn’t getting from its location in West Hollywood.
“This house that I’m moving from is in the thick of L.A,” she says. “I’m ready to move into a more relaxed area of L.A., a little more removed from the hustle and bustle.”
