It’s time to watch DC Fandome 2021 online!
Yes, the cavalcade of comic book character news is hitting, but hunting and pecking for all of that new info isn’t technically as easy as it was last year.
And DC itself is to blame for that. Unlike last year, DC is being more cagey about its attack strategy, and turned DC Fandome into what is essentially its version of a Nintendo Direct — focused on all the upcoming DC movies and shows and video games.
To quote DC’s own Fandome FAQ, “The full schedule of events is being kept under lock and key in the Fortress of Solitude, but we have a Multiverse of amazing content and announcements that we can’t wait to share with you!” That said, we do know when and how to tune in to DC Fandome 2021, what movies and shows to expect updates for (and sometimes what kind of content they’ll be showing) and even how long it will be. So, we’re going to have a DC Fandome live blog to provide our live reactions to it all.

How to watch DC Fandome online
DC Fandome starts at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT / 6 p.m. BST today (Saturday, October 16). DC’s said to expect the stream to run approximately 4 hours, so it may not end at 5 p.m. ET on the dot if they run over. We’ve blocked our calendar out until 5:15 p.m. ET.
So, at that time, you’ll want to be on one of a few different sites or streams. There’s DCFandome.com if you want to watch the direct live feed, but that’s not as great if you’re wanting to watch on your TV or elsewhere.
The DC YouTube page will be hosting a stream that we’ve embedded below, and it will also be on the official DC Twitch, Facebook and Twitter. So, pick your favorite.
We would suggest avoiding Facebook and Twitter, though, as they’ve always had the lower video-quality live streams.
DC Fandome 2021: What to expect
The biggest news of DC Fandome appears to be the next trailer for The Batman movie, Matt Reeves’ 2022 film starring Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne.
In the previous trailer (released back at the previous DC Fandome in August of last year), we learned that the movie is taking place in Bruce Wayne’s younger, more formative days — approximately two years into his run as Batman. It also teased Paul Dano’s very dark Riddler, and showed us glimpses of Zoe Kravitz’s Selina Kyle / Catwoman and Colin Farrell’s Oswald Cobblepot / Penguin. There also appeared to be a tease of a Joker-esque gang.
We’re also going to get a “first look” at Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam and a sneak-peek at the universe-breaking The Flash. Will they actually show us Michael Keaton in the Batsuit in the latter? We hope so.
How to Watch DC FanDome 2021 Online
DC Comics fans will gain access to a flurry of panels, performances and trailers during the DC FanDome event, taking place on Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. PT/ 1 p.m. ET.
The free event gathers stars and creators of DC properties — across feature films, TV series, games and comics — and offers attendees breaking news, exclusive trailers and never-before-seen footage of its upcoming projects. DC FanDome will be streaming on its official website in addition to DC’s Twitch, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook accounts.
At the event, fans can look forward to new trailer of “The Batman” starring Robert Pattinson, clips from “DC League of Super-Pets,” behind-the-scenes footage at Jason Momoa in “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” and Zachary Levi’s “Shazam! Fury of the Gods,” as well as a first look at Dwayne Johnson in “Black Adam.”
In September, Pattinson teased what fans can expect from “The Batman” at this year’s DC FanDome, telling Variety‘s Angelique Jackson: “Me and Zoë [Kravitz] did some stuff. It’s a fun little thing. There are lots of little surprises for it.”
The full schedule is available on the DC FanDome website. Registration is not required to access DC FanDome, but pre-registration is necessary to view the full schedule ahead of the event’s launch.
Augmented reality (AR) experiences and QR codes to scan will also be available for users who have a mobile device within reach. The event will not be compatible with gaming consoles, and users do not need to download any mobile apps to access special content.

How to watch DC’s FanDome 2021 livestream
All of DC’s biggest movies, shows, comics, and trailers
The 2021 DC FanDome streaming event is almost here, and the entire thing is going to be free for fans to watch.
The four-hour event is set to feature announcements, trailers, and stars from DC’s biggest movie, TV, comic, and game franchises like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Justice League.
All of DC FanDome 2021 will be streamable at the DC FanDome website, or on DC’s YouTube channel. The event starts at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 16.
We already know a number of exclusives set to be featured at FanDome, including a new trailer for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman. Meanwhile, we also expect to see some early looks at movies like Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam, and the Aquaman sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and the time-hopping Flash movie.
DC will also show off footage from some of its upcoming video games during FanDome. The games lineup is expected to include Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which is exactly what it sounds like, and Gotham Knights, the co-op Arkham Asylum-style game.
Of course, the event will also include looks at DC’s upcoming slate of comics, TV shows and more, and should feature dozens of appearances from the brand’s most famous stars and creators.
Robert Pattinson-led The Batman trailer coming at DC FanDome 2021
DC FanDome is back!
On Saturday, October 16, DC Comics and its parent Warner Bros. return with a second edition of their giant virtual convention for DC movies, TV shows, games, comics, and a whole lot more.
DC FanDome 2021 will involve The Batman, Black Adam, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and two versions of The Flash (again). The likes of Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, Jason Momoa, and Robert Pattinson will make appearances during DC FanDome 2021. And that’s just on the film side of things. More importantly, it’s all online and completely free.
There’s no full schedule for DC FanDome 2021 unfortunately. Unlike last time, DC is going for a bit more mystery this time around, though it has given us a list of what to expect. We will get into that in a minute. We expect to see trailers, teasers, first looks and sneak peeks at those aforementioned titles — some have already been confirmed — in addition to returning and new Arrowverse and HBO Max series, and two new major DC games centred on the Batman family and the Suicide Squad. With that, here’s how to tune into DC FanDome 2021. Time to put your costumes on.
DC Fandome 2021 schedule
In 2020, DC gave us a minute-by-minute breakdown of how DC FanDome would unfold. That allowed fans to plan out what they wanted to see. Unfortunately, we don’t have that this time. It’s clear that DC wants fans to stick around for the whole event, and not just tune in for their favourite parts. So much for serving the fans.
All we have at this point for DC FanDome 2021 is an inkling of what’s coming, straight from DC.
The Batman trailer is the biggest thing, having been confirmed numerous times by DC and The Batman team. We will also get first looks for Johnson-led Black Adam, Ezra Miller-led The Flash, and DC League of Super-Pets. Additionally, DC FanDome 2021 will take us behind the scenes of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
From the TV side of things, there will be an “exclusive look” for the Cena-led Peacemaker on HBO Max, Ava DuVernay’s Naomi series, and the dystopian HBO Max miniseries DMZ. There will be first looks for several returning series too, including The Flash season 8, Batwoman season 3, Superman & Lois season 2, and Sweet Tooth season 2. And sneak peeks for the ongoing Titans season 3 and Doom Patrol season 3, and an upcoming DC’s Stargirl episode.
Video games are part of DC FanDome 2021 too. Gotham Knights, developed by Warner Bros. Games Montréal, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, developed by Rocksteady Studios, were both featured at last year’s DC FanDome — and will return this year with extended looks.
In the animated department, DC FanDome 2021 will give us first looks at Harley Quinn season 3, Aquaman: King of Atlantis miniseries, the upcoming Batman: Caped Crusader, and Young Justice: Phantoms. There will be a trailer for the animated heist movie Catwoman: Hunted, and a sneak peek for the animated film Injustice inspired by the Superman-turns-evil story of the same name.
