Watch Billie Eilish’s New Video for “Male Fantasy”
Happier Than Ever artist Billie Eilish has shared a new self-directed and edited visual for “Male Fantasy.”
Billie Eilish Male Fantasy Lyrics
Home alone, tryin’ not to eat
Distract myself with pornography
I hate the way she looks at me
I can’t stand the dialogue, she would never be
That satisfied, it’s a male fantasy
I’m going back to therapy
‘Cause I loved you then and I love you now
And I don’t know how
Guess it’s hard to know when nobody else comes around
If I’m getting over you
Or just pretending to
Be alright, convince myself I hate you
I got a call from a girl I used to know
We were inseparable years ago
Thought we’d get along but it wasn’t so
And it’s all I think about when I’m behind the wheel
I worry this is how I’m always gonna feel
But nothing lasts, I know the deal
But I loved you then and I love you now
And I don’t know how
Guess it’s hard to know when nobody else comes around
If I’m getting over you
Or just pretending to
Be alright, convince myself I hate you
Can’t get over you
No matter what I do
I know I should but I could never hate you
Billie Eilish Reflects on Past Relationships in Gloomy Visual for “Male Fantasy”
For her sophomore album, Eilish has rolled out several clips from her album for tracks like “Therefore I Am,” “Your Power,” “Lost Cause,” “NDA” and “Happier Than Ever.” All the videos accompanying the tracks for this album have been self-directed by the art 19-year-old artist. The latest music video for “Male Fantasy” provides a gloomy background for her breakup ballad. The video sees the artist home alone moving from various places around the house. Through the clip, fans get a visual glimpse of the melancholic undertone of the song as Eilish reflects on the emptiness her past relationship has left her with.
Eilish is up for seven different 2022 Grammys awards including Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Take a look at the video for “Male Fantasy” above.
Billie Eilish’s ‘Male Fantasy’ Involves a Drab House and a Lot of Jump Cuts
It’s Billie Eilish’s “Male Fantasy,” and we’re all just watching it.
That’s the case in the singer-songwriter’s new music video anyway. Eilish dropped the latest visual for the poignant acoustic breakup ballad that closes her second album, Happier Than Ever.
The video finds her “home alone,” as she sings in the song, sitting in various places around a drab house. (It also features more jump cuts than a YouTube video from the early 2010s.) The new video comes on the heels of Eilish’s seven Grammy nominations for Happier Than Ever, the album’s title track, and its concert film — and as we continue to wait for a video for “Oxytocin.”
Billie Eilish shares heartbreaking music video for ‘Male Fantasy’
Marking the sixth clip taken from ‘Happier Than Ever’ that Eilish has directed
Billie Eilish has shared the music video for ‘Male Fantasy’, which she has directed and edited herself.
Taking to social media, Eilish shared the clip which sees her slumped in various different rooms in her home as she tries to get over the break up of an ex-lover.
It is the sixth video from ‘Happier Than Ever‘ – all of which Eilish herself has directed. The other videos thus far include ‘Therefore I Am’, ‘Your Power’, ‘Lost Cause’, ‘NDA’ and the album’s title track.
Eilish’s net worth is estimated to be a whopping $53 million.
Billie Eilish net worth
Billie Eilish is not just a musician. She’s also a money-making machine with the net worth to prove it.
The singer—homeschooled by parents in the entertainment business and a frequent collaborator with her producer-singer-songwriting-former Glee actor brother, Finneas O’Connell—became rich and mega-famous within the span of just a few years. As a result of coming into her fortune so young (she hit it big at just 16 years old!), managing her money isn’t always easy.
“I don’t know what things cost because I’ve never been an adult before. And, you know, I grew up with no money… It’s a really weird position I’m in. I feel kind of stupid because I’m like, I don’t know how much Froot Loops are,” she admitted to Vanity Fair. “I tried to order one box of Froot Loops and I was like, ‘Oh yeah, sure. It’s $35.’ I didn’t know that that’s expensive. I ordered 70 boxes.”
On the bright side, she can afford a lot of Froot Loops now—and as you’ll find out below in our rundown of her net worth, she managed to accrue about half of her millions in one fell swoop when she signed on for the 2021 Apple TV+ documentary, Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry. Now, she’s repeating that feat (sort of) with her new Disney+ concert film, Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles.
