Don't Nod's Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden Set for November

Don’t Nod Entertainment, the makers of Life is Strange and Vampyr, have announced that their new action RPG, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, will be released on November 7, 2023. The game, which was first revealed at The Game Awards in December 2022, stars Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith as Banishers, who protect the living from the spirits of the dead. Antea, unfortunately, has become a ghost herself, and the two lovers must work together to find a way to restore her mortality.

The game is set in New Eden, a North American settlement filled with supernatural dangers. Players will navigate this world using Red’s conventional weaponry and Antea’s spectral abilities, battling ghosts and exploring the town. Along the way, players will engage in choice-driven conversations with New Eden’s residents that will steer the course of the narrative, deciding whether to fulfill their duty as a Banisher or sacrifice that oath to restore Antea’s mortality.

The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It is the second of three games on Don’t Nod’s 2023 launch schedule, following Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, which was released in October, and the upcoming meditative climbing game Jusant, which is set for release this fall.

In addition to the standard edition, which costs £54.99 / $59.99, a Collector’s Edition is available for £179.99. This edition includes a 24cm statue of Red and Antea, a 128-page artbook, a steel book, and two Banisher Signet Rings, as well as a physical copy of the game.
