Ubisoft Forward 2023: Everything Announced

Ubisoft Forward 2023 has finally come. The company’s latest games like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Skull and Bones, and the recently announced Star Wars: Outlaws are just a few of titles we saw today. Alongside Assassin’s Creed titles like Mirage, Codename Jade, and Nexus VR were shown today. Here’s a summary of everything announced at the June 2023 Ubisoft Forward.

Star Wars Outlaws Gets 10-minute Gameplay Showcase

Star Wars Outlaws was announced as part of yesterday’s Xbox Games Showcase, but Ubisoft waited for its own presentation to share the first look at gameplay. Outlaws is in development at Massive Entertainment, and Ubisoft is calling it the first open world Star Wars game. The gameplay showcase showed off combat, including how adorable companion Nix can help protagonist Kay Vess in the heat of battle. We also saw Kay riding a speeder, deciding if she wanted to bribe an Imperial officer, and eventually hopping into a ship to escape into hyperspace.

The game will feature a dynamic and reactive world, where your actions and choices will have consequences. You can choose to align yourself with different factions, such as the Rebels, the Empire, or the Hutt Cartel, and gain access to different missions, rewards, and allies. You can also customize your character’s appearance, gear, and abilities, as well as your ship’s weapons, engines, and paint job. Star Wars Outlaws will launch on 2024 on all platforms.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Gameplay Revealed

Following the announcement last week at Summer Game Fest, Ubisoft unveiled gameplay for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. The 2D action Metroidvania is “semi-open world”, and more areas open up to you as you gain new powers and improve your skills. We saw a lot of the game’s fast-paced sword combat, with plenty of flashy finishing moves on some of the tougher enemies. Time powers are also present, but sometimes your enemies will use them against you. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is launching on January 18, 2024 on all platforms.

Ubisoft Forward 2023

The game will be a reimagining of the original Prince of Persia trilogy, with a new story that will explore the origins of the Prince and his relationship with Farah. The game will have a hand-drawn art style that pays homage to the classic games while adding a modern touch. The game will also have a dynamic soundtrack that will change according to your actions and choices.
