NetherRealm Studios is set to launch Mortal Kombat 1 on September 19, offering players a fresh take on the renowned series. The game features reimagined versions of beloved characters and introduces a brand-new story mode, immersing players in a reborn universe. As expected, the game maintains its trademark violence, as showcased in the thrilling gameplay trailer. Pre-orders for Mortal Kombat 1 are now live, including various editions and exciting preorder bonuses. The highly sought-after Kollector’s Edition, currently sold out, has intermittently been available from multiple retailers throughout the week. Players can look forward to experiencing Mortal Kombat 1 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
Universal Mortal Kombat Pre-order Bonuses
First off, it’s been revealed that Shang Tsung will be a playable character for all who pre-order any Mortal Kombat edition. They will also get beta access in August. Pre-ordering the premium or Kollector’s edition grants early access to the game on September 14.
Pre-order Mortal Kombat 1 Standard Edition
The base game and any applicable pre-order bonuses are included in the standard edition of Mortal Kombat. This edition offers the most affordable option for players. It is important to mention that the Switch version is priced at $70, making it the first third-party game to have this price.

While the Premium edition pre-order of Mortal Kombat 1 comes at a higher cost ($250), it offers additional physical goodies alongside all the features included in the premium edition. These additional items are:
- 16.5-inch Liu Kang sculpture
- Three exclusive art prints
- Steel case
- Additional 1,450 Dragon Krystals (in-game currency)
