Payday 2 is free on Epic Games Store

Starbreeze’s four-player co-op shooter Payday 2 is currently available for free until June 15, when it will be replaced by Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition and Guacamelee! 2.

In January, the company announced that Payday 2 had achieved over 40 million copies sold since its release in 2013. Additionally, it boasted the largest community on Steam, consisting of more than eight million players.

The game incorporates themes of software giants, cryptocurrencies, mass surveillance, and the Dark Web, which are reflected in the updated gadgets used by the gang.
