Sen. Tim Scott weds Mindy Noce in Seacoast Church service

Almost every week for the last 30 years, U.S. Sen. Tim Scott has prayed for a wife.

It was a recurring devotion that began in his late 20s, grew more urgent in his 40s and, as time marched on without much change in his romantic life, Scott admitted that he found himself asking if God heard his pleas.

On Aug. 3, at age 58, Scott’s prayers were finally answered.

In an intimate evening ceremony at the chapel at Seacoast Church on Long Point Road, the South Carolina Republican exchanged vows with Mindy Noce, a 47-year-old interior designer.

Among the readings at the wedding ceremony was a Bible passage that began with the reflection, “Two are better than one.”

The newlyweds shared their first dance to “Swayin’ to the Music (Slow Dancin’)” by Johnny Rivers.

Noce, a Charleston-based design and renovation consultant and mom of three kids, met Scott in 2022 through a mutual friend at the church.

They hit it off while using an app to study the Bible together, the Washington Post reported as Scott described his bride as a “lovely Christian girl.”

The couple made their first public appearance at the third GOP Presidential Primary debate last November following speculation about the South Carolina senator’s love life.

Before the appearance, Scott said he wouldn’t drag Noce “onto the campaign trail unless I have the intention of marrying her.”

Who Is Mindy Noce? (Tim Scott’s Fiancée)

Here’s everything to know about Mindy Noce and her relationship with the politician.

While not much is known about Noce’s upbringing, she was raised alongside three older brothers. When the trio enrolled at The Citadel, a military college in Charleston, S.C., she decided she wanted to go to school in the same city.

Noce went on to attend the College of Charleston, per her Atlantic Properties bio. While in school, she studied health science, thanks to her interest in sports, including running and tennis.

After graduating from college, Noce decided to remain in Charleston and has lived in the port city for over 18 years. After spending time on the Isle of Palms by the water, she now resides on Daniel Island. While there, she raised three children, whom she hasn’t shared details about online.

As for why she’s stuck around for so long, Noce says Charleston has a lot to offer to its residents.

“It has something for everyone, and everything for a lot of people! Hard to go wrong with sunshine, sea, and charm!” Noce shared on the Atlantic Properties website.
