There’s been a lot of chatter about “Vultures 2” this week, particularly after West’s website stated that the album would finally be publicly available Friday.
But after fans and media took notice, the release date was swiftly removed from the site, leading the Internet to speculate that the waiting game would continue.
It appears the upcoming release date for the much-delayed Vultures 2 project from Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign may not be happening after all.

West’s YZY website had provided a message explaining early Wednesday (July 31) that all orders have been fulfilled and shipped out, and V2 is set to arrive on Friday (Aug. 2).
Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have seemingly revealed the tracklist for Vultures 2 as the wait for the album continues.
According to Kanye fan account YeFanatics, a tracklist for Vultures 2 shows up for some fans when visiting yeezy.com, though it is not currently shown on the website.
According to the purported tracklist, Vultures 2 clocks in at 14 songs and includes a number of records that have previously either been leaked or played by Ye and Ty at one of their listening events.
While the website doesn’t list any features, artists who have been heard on songs featured on the tracklist include Lil Wayne, Future, Young Thug, Lil Baby, Playboi Carti, Lil Durk and Don Toliver.
Ye and Ty Dolla $ign Drop ‘VULTURES 2’ Single “SLIDE”
The album was a no-show on its scheduled August 2 release date.
After announcing then failing to release VULTURES 2 on Friday, Ye and Ty Dolla $ign are seemingly making up for the loss with the official release of the single “SLIDE.”
A favorite amongst fans, the cut clocks in at approximately three minutes and 20 seconds and features production from Wheezy, Fred again.., Apollo Parker, ryderoncrack, London on da Track and AyoAA.
“SLIDE” hears the duo open up about their intimate relationships and ends with a surprise guest feature from James Blake, who hops on the outro with Ty.
Listen to Vultures 2 via Apple Music, Spotify, and other streaming platforms.
The project features appearances by Playboi Carti, Don Toliver, Young Thug, Kodak Black, Future, and Lil Wayne.
The inaugural Vultures saw the Playboi Carti and Rich the Kid-featuring “Carnival” become a breakout hit from the project, the release of which was complicated, at least somewhat, by alleged sampling permission issues.
Prior to the album’s streaming rollout, Ozzy Osbourne spoke out against the use of a live Black Sabbath riff in the track, although the officially released version swapped that turnaround out for a similar guitar bit from Ye’s “Hell of a Life” off MBDTF.
As for Vultures trilogy plans, it was initially announced earlier this year that Ye and Ty would release one volume of new music per month for February, March, and April.
The first part was then delayed again, before finally releasing to impressive streaming numbers, lukewarm critical reception, and a slew of lawsuits.
It was later taken down when it was revealed that it was released through its distributor without authorization after the distributor refused to work with Kanye over his antisemitic remarks (lest we forget that all this is Kanye’s own fault).
He’s since struggled to find a distribution method, even going as far as hiring a team of developers to create an app that was later abandoned — without paying the developers, of course.
