Nicola Peltz Beckham Has Accused A Dog Groomer Of “Intentional And Malicious Abuse”

Nicola Peltz Beckham Has Accused A Dog Groomer Of “Intentional And Malicious Abuse” In A Lawsuit Filed After Her Beloved Pet’s Sudden Death

In an Instagram post shared last month, heartbroken Nicola said that Nala was “perfectly healthy when she went to the groomers but came out hyperventilating and couldn’t catch her breath” before dying two hours later.

Nicola alleges Nala was left injured and in severe physical distress after a routine grooming in HoundSpa’s mobile van.

Nicola is also said to have taken action against HoundSpa owner Deborah ‘Deb’ Gittleman for keeping Jony on staff despite there reportedly being past complaints about his behaviour towards animals.

Last month, Nicola Peltz Beckham took to her Instagram page to share her grief over the sudden death of her beloved chihuahua Nala.

The 29-year-old actress alleges that HoundSpa in Mount Kisco was responsible for the chihuahua’s death, which came hours after she was treated at a routine grooming by an unfit employee, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

Jony Ceballos, the groomer in question, has a history of “intentional and malicious abuse of dogs,” the lawsuit alleges.

What happened during the grooming session was not included in the lawsuit, but Peltz-Beckham said on Instagram that Nala “came out hyperventilating and couldn’t catch her breath.”

The “Lola” actress, who is married to David and Victoria Beckham’s son, Brooklyn, 25, rushed the 9-year-old pup to the vet, where she died.

Nicola allegedly then rushed Nala to a vet who was a 15-minute drive away and observed that “Nala’s tongue was blue, she had fluid in her lungs, and she suffered neurological damage.”

“Nala was put on oxygen and cared for as Nicola distressingly and emotionally witnessed her dog suffer,” the lawsuit continued.

After witnessing Nala’s death, Nicola has allegedly experienced “damages and emotional distress.”

“This case is about holding responsible those who abuse animals in their care and shedding light on the lack of protections for pet owners and their beloved dogs and pets,” the lawsuit adds.
